Website Purpose

This website was established to educate and assist students and teachers in understanding the origins, nature and influences of Postmodernism. As an initial source of information, it provides a general overview of Postmodernism, its characteristics and trends and how architecture, art, music, literature and our society and culture have been influenced by this way of thinking. The website also provides an insight into the works of several critics and theorists who shaped Postmodern ideas in their varying cultural, historical and social contexts.

This website acts as a starting point which will provide you with useful points of entry and an orientation behind the ideas in Postmodernism.
