Finally I am on Flickr. I've always planned to, just never had the time. My Canon Digital IXUS 400 isn't the best camera to take pictures with, but I'll manage.
Next Tuesday, I will be at the 2007 Australia Global Student Entrepreneur Awards Regional Finals in Melbourne, as my brother's online business was nominated for the finals. Tagging along, it will be interesting to see the other finalists and their business ideas. It seems the increasing presence of e-biz and the alike will continue to grow. I was once told by somebody that a company like Australia Post will go bankrupt because everyone will be e-mailing instead. I think it is quite the opposite. Online shopping anyone?
Last weekend at the Lifeline bookfair, I managed to find Richard Heinberg's "PowerDown: Options And Actions For A Post-Carbon World". Those of you who have been on my Facebook page have probably noticed that I really recommend the book. And no, it isn't a greenie book - well - maybe. You know how they say that there was the stone age, the bronze age, the copper age etc. Well, we are living in right now, what they call "The Oil Age". In 2003, bicycles in urban China were banned - that means production and demands for cars have been increasing dramatically. Is that what we want?
I'll get some pics of Melbourne on here/Flickr if I can. Oh yeah, my cat also vomited in my room last night.
